LGBTQ+ STEM is starting a new thread in our mission to support queer and trans people in STEM. We aim to create a better environment for LGBTQ+ people to advance science while being fully themselves. There is a wealth of recent studies that have shown that action is needed to create equality for LGBTQ+ people in STEM. In the future, our organisation will aim to give resources and guidance to help organisations effect change in their communities.
Recent Work
- On 27 April 2022, Izzy Jayasinghe on behalf of LGBTQ+ STEM provided evidence for a parliamentary session focussed on the specific challenges faced by people with disabilities as well as LGBTQ+ people in STEM and returners. You can watch the session here.
