B.S. (statistics) & B.Mus. (cello performance), and by lying my way into classes I didn’t have the prerequisites for 😛

Do you feel being LGBT has affected your career decisions?

It definitely played a part in the reason I didn’t start a STEM major until my junior year.

Have you had any reactions from colleagues about being LGBT, either good or bad?

yeah, a handful of each.

Did you have any role models growing up (LGBT, STEM, totally unrelated.)?

Jacqueline du Pre. No LGBT role models because according to my parents homosexuality was evil.

What are your plans for the future?

I’m hoping to get a postdoc where I can do mathematical physics research, and then go into the industry using AI for aerospace/defense. But we’ll see.
